Position Summary:
The Procurement Coordinator will be responsible for managing the procurement function to ensure efficient acquisition of goods, works, and services in line with Habitat for Humanity Uganda’s policies and donor requirements. The role ensures that procurement processes are timely, transparent, compliant, and provide value for money. |

Minimum:
· Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. · Years of Related Experience: At least 3 years of progressively responsible experience in a procurement or supply chain management, preferably in an NGO setting.
Qualifications: Preferred – in addition to minimum: · Membership in a professional body such as CIPS is an added advantage. · Experience in managing donor-funded procurement processes is highly desirable.

Organizational Scope & Impact
The Procurement Coordinator supports HFHU’s operational efficiency by ensuring timely, transparent, and value-driven procurement processes that directly impact program delivery and organizational compliance Problem Complexity, Planning and Policy level impact · Handles moderately complex procurement issues using established procedures, while contributing to strategic planning through procurement forecasts, risk mitigation, and compliance alignment Influencing/People Leadership – · Internal – Works closely with Program teams, Finance, Administration, and Field Offices. · External – Engages with suppliers, contractors, and service providers. · Leadership – No direct supervisory responsibility but expected to demonstrate leadership in enforcing compliance and promoting procurement best practices. |

Working Conditions, Requirements, etc. –
· 40 hours of work per week, with one hour lunch break and 2 health breaks on 20 minutes each in a day. · Office-based with occasional travel to field locations for procurement-related assignments. Location: · This position is based at the National Office in Kampala, Uganda Travel Expectations: Domestic travel up to 10% to support field procurement activities.
