CONSULTANCY SERVICES FOR SITING AND DRILLING SUPERVISION OF A SOLAR-POWERED DEEP WATER WELL

BACKGROUND
Habitat for Humanity Uganda is planning to implement a water, sanitation, and hygiene project in Tisai Subcounty in Kumi district. Humanity Uganda tends to utilize part of the funds for the construction of a solar-powered deep water well for school and community water supply. Habitat for Humanity Uganda, therefore, wishes to procure the services of a competent company to undertake Borehole siting (hydrogeological Survey) and drilling supervision thereafter. These activities are to be carried out in a manner that conforms to the following principles:

Support to the decentralization process; Institutional capacity building, especially at the District, Sub-County, and Community level; Demand responsiveness; Community participation and ownership; and Emphasis on gender responsiveness, environmental mitigation measures.

The consultant is required to prepare and execute an investigation Tisai subcounty in Kumi District. The groundwater abstraction technology option to be implemented is deep boreholes unless otherwise directed by the Client in writing.

Habitat for Humanity Uganda invites Competent consultants to bid for the execution of hydrogeological surveys and drilling supervision for boreholes.
